California first — Pacific Coast, Eastern Sierras, the Half Moon Bay headlands at dusk, the high desert at four in the afternoon — and whichever city I’m walking through with a camera that week. Recent trips have included Iceland, Tokyo, and a long quiet pass through the American Southwest.
